Is Numerology Scientific? Does Numerology Work?

Numerology can indeed be considered a science when grounded in rigorous study, empirical observations, statistical analysis, and factual evidence. However, it loses its scientific validity when it deviates from these principles, relying solely on purported ancient knowledge without ongoing research. A notable example is Chaldean numerology, which cannot be classified as a science due to its stagnation and lack of evolution.

Is Numerology Scientific? Numerology often faces skepticism, with many individuals dismissing it as untrue, associating it with astrology. The common reasoning among skeptics is, “If astrology is not credible, how can numerology be?”

However, this line of thought is flawed because numerology operates independently of astrology, having no connection to celestial bodies or their positions. (Explore further in “Numerology is not Astrology and Numbers are not influenced by Planets.”)

(Delve deeper into the differences between Pythagorean and Chaldean Numerology.)

Interestingly, even self-proclaimed rationalists, anti-superstition advocates, and those proclaiming to uphold scientific perspectives often commit the same errors. They tend to reject concepts that have been scientifically scrutinized and validated.

Unfortunately, this dismissal stems from preconceived biases against specific subjects rather than a genuine understanding of the matter at hand. Rejecting well-established facts appears to be a simpler route for them than engaging in a nuanced exploration of the subject matter.

Is Numerology Considered a Science?

For individuals who adhere strictly to a rational mindset, the concept of science is often confined to the realm of physical sciences. Consequently, they attempt to apply the principles of physics to various other fields such as biology, psychology, social sciences, and even occult sciences like numerology.

But what exactly defines science? According to the Science Council, it is “the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence.”

Similarly, the Cambridge Dictionary characterizes science as “the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the natural and physical world or knowledge obtained about the world by watching it carefully and experimenting.”

When numerology is grounded in scientific study, observations, statistics, and factual data, it aligns with the principles of science. However, adherence to these rules is crucial for numerology to be considered a science. It must not rely solely on ancient knowledge but should actively engage in ongoing research.

For instance, Chaldean numerology may not qualify as a science, as it appears to have ceased evolving. In contrast, Pythagorean or Modern Western Numerology is deemed a science because it continues to evolve and adapt to discoveries and insights.

The ever-expanding nature of these numerological approaches aligns with the systematic and evidence-based methodology characteristic of scientific inquiry.

Does Numerology Work? Check it Yourself

You can observe and find the truth of how numerology is working for you. But for better observation and analysis, you must have a basic knowledge of Modern numerology. You must have basic knowledge of the positive and negative traits of all single-digit numbers (i.e. 1 to 9) and double-digit numbers (i.e. 11 to 99).

Moreover, you must have to consider the 6 core numbers in the numerology chart. Do not rely just on your birthday number or birth number. (Read: Core Numbers in Numerology).

You will find that many of the important events in your life took place on the date of your birth. For example, if you were born on the 23rd, many of the important events took place on the 23rd (of any month). If not, the date was 5th or 14th, or that day’s attitude number was 5.

If yours is a love marriage, your spouse is numerologically well compatible with you. That means, the core numbers of both of you are very compatible and there are some common numbers in your numerology chart.

If there is not a good relationship between you and your spouse, or the relations are good but both of you are suffering from frequent problems, then most of your numbers are not compatible.

In your family, at least two persons have same birth number.

If there is a better understanding between your family members, they have compatible numbers.

You see your birthday number repeatedly, on the vehicle number plates, if you get a seat number (on the bus, train, theater, etc.) and elsewhere.

Your house number or office number is your birthday number.

Your closest friends and you have the same birth number. For example, you were born on the 15th, and your closest friends were born most probably on the 15th, 6th, or 24th.

You have major traits of your birth number, attitude number, and life path number. Your abilities are according to your birth number, attitude number, and life path number.

The problems you are suffering from are according to the negative traits of your numbers.

If you are experiencing most of the things mentioned above, that means numerology is true.
